T-Mek | Atari Games | 1994 | Videogame | Simulator |
There is a special hidden arena for fans of old Atari classic games, but only two ways to enter this area (in solo mode only):
1- Find and destroy all three hidden Saurons (the character from Primal Rage) on your way up the Tournament ladder. When you destroy Nazrac and finish the game you will enter the special arena. The three Saurons are found in the following locations:
- In Storm Rift, blow out both rocks in the squared-off crevice. Go through the false left wall. Stick to the right wall and go down the corridor.
- In Stone Web, at one of the gentle bends in the outside wall, there is a false section of cliff wall. Go through it.
- In Alien Nest, you can squeeze between two of the watchers (the big green eyeball things that form the outer edge of the arena). You will first have to destroy a bunch of the long thin tubes. Close beyond that passage is a Sauron.
2 - Finish the game on a single credit. If you are able to work your way up the tournament ladder and defeat Nazrac, all on a single credit(!), you will enter the special arena.
Venusiva Express- when the tournament ladder screen appears, hold your left-hand control to the left and your right-hand control to the right. At the same time press both thumb buttons. This enables you to challenge Venusiva without working up the tournament ladder.
Hidden Arenas- While you are choosing the next arena, do one of the following things:
- Choose the Killing Floor while holding your left control to the left (enter Nazrac's Attic).
- Choose the Stone Web while holding your left control to the right (enter the Abyss).
Arena Conditions- Do the following control combinations while the "Waiting for Others" countdown is happening. A sound will be heard when it is done right.
- Hold your left control to the right and your right control to the left (no radar).
- Hold your left control to the left and your right control to the right (fog in the arena).
- Pull your left and right controls in a backwards direction (alternate colour phase for the arena).
Extra Power-ups: If your controls are outward when going through a reload platform, you get five special weapons. If your controls are inward when you run over a energy core, you get more energy and defense.
Special Names: By typing in the name of Nazrac or the name of his arena bosses, as your own name, you will be able to drive their super MEK. Names are BAKED, SHOCKA, VENUSIVA, PHANTOM, BRK'OTH, and NAZRAC.
Baked's AssaultMEK is a little slower than the standard AssaultMEK, however, it fires its connon and missiles faster.
Venusiva's StealthMEK is not harmed by the volcanic fire in Inferno nor stopped by the spikes.
Shocka's HyperMEK is even faster than the standard HyperMEK and has even less armor. Her MEK hops over the boulders in Storm Rift.
Phantom's SuicideMEK does not show up on the radar and can go through the walls inside the Stone Web. It has less armor than the standard SuicideMEK and has no defense.
Brk'oth's LurkerMEK can ooze throught the vines and valves in the Alien Nest without slowing down. Its colour makes it well camouflaged in its home arena as well.
Nazrac's SpeedMEK has an entirely unique look, made to strike terror at his opponents. His MEK is not harmed by the fire roaring from the gates in the killing floor and Nazrac's Attic.
If you type in the last names of any of the people appearing in the game credits, there is an audio response.

There was a bug in at least some versions of the game. Just before the walls finally meet and crush the player, all the mushrooms get removed from the screen. If your player is at the bottom of the screen stamping his feet i.e. trying to move downward it lets him escape the level. This was clearly an algorithmic bug in the game. It checked whether all the mushrooms were removed and they were so the player could exit.

Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles - Style 2 | Konami | 1989 | Videogame | Fighting |
Trick: On level two part two, the sewer, if you stand right on the very edge of the platform, no one can hit you, but you can hit them.
Bonus: Hit The skate boarding lady on Level 2 to gain an additional point.
Bonus: On Level 2 Part 2 (Sewer) the end of level boss is Baxter in his Flying Mouser Machine. If you use the edge of platform trick (so you wont get killed), kill all the mousers that are dropped (one mouser = one point). Just keep killing them and Baxter will fly away. If you kill Baxter you only receive one point, but killing all the mousers yields many more.
Bonus: Walk along so that a Yellow Foot soldier (boomerang man) gets stuck behind an obejct (e.g. a fire hydrant). Move close enough to the enemy so that he begins to throw his boomerang and contine to hit the projectiles to gain points.
Trick: On the next to last level (the end boss is Granitor), when a module (the big drill that Rocksteady comes out of on Level 1) comes up out of the ground lots of Blue Papela bugs will be released. As soon as the door opens, jump into the air as high as possible and then drop down performing a heavy swing. If you time the move right you will destroy all the bugs at the same time.

When you pick up a six pack of cans you can park yourself close to a non-player character and rack up points by hitting them with the cans. The faster you are the better, so the beachball speed-up helps a lot. When the alligator comes to chomp you (because you are stalling) just pop him with one of the cans. This also works for certain objects such as the floating mines (seeking or not). If you are quick enough you can re-destroy the same mine multiple times and release multiple goodies such as letters, treasures, sixpacks, etc. You can only throw one can at a time so any can already thrown will disappear once you press "throw" again.

Top Gunner | Konami | 1986 | Videogame | Shooter |
High scores for this game are obtained through saving POWs. Make sure your jeeps is full eight men before letting them off at the helo pad. DO NOT move while the transfer of men happens. You will receive not only a huge score bonus but also be upgraded automatically to the best weapon possible. Also, pick up glowing POWs while at full power weapon and you will receive 10,000 each! These are the POWs that come out of the shooting bunkers.
A word of advice only keep seven men on board until you reach the helo pad area, as there is almost always a glowing POW bunker nearby and having only seven men on board will allow you to pick up that last man, get another level of powerup, plus fill your jeep to capacity.

This takes a lot of practice to master, though! Also, be sure to get the wing boots on level two by killing all the enemies -- it is impossible to beat the game without them.

In the Lightcycle stage, the cycles have a fixed behavior pattern for each stage and so, like IPacManI, it is possible to find a pattern of your own which will defeat the cycles every time on that level. In the Tanks stage, if no part of your tank is touching the white line running through the center of each corridor, the enemy tanks fire cannot hit you. If you are careful, you can move halfway into the central transporter diamond, just far enough to get off the white line, then pick the enemy tanks off at will. Note the tanks can still ram you, though.
If a person holds down the player start button while another person switches the machine off and back on or unplugs and re-plugs the power cable into an outlet, the game will credit and start without having to insert a coin.

Turbo | Sega | 1981 | Videogame | Racing |
When extended play is awarded and the gameplay restarts, you can drive right through other vehicles without penalty for a second or so. A couple of seconds after the yellow flag shows on screen, an ambulance will come up behind you. Drive right in front of the ambulance until it almost hits you, move to the right while it passes you no other cars ever show on the right side, although puddles do, then trail the path that has been cleared by the ambulance after it passes you to avoid any other oncoming cars for a couple seconds. Avoid the edges of the screen when a scene migration is coming up. All migrations from turns give a split second where the road becomes straight -- even if it migrates to a turn in the same direction. Migrations to and from turns are the most dangerous as the other cars on the road including yours sometimes typically jump to the other side of the screen right after the migration. Driving with a loose grip and spinning the wheel will give you much better control for getting out of the way quick as the car doesn't move much when gently steering.

Completely destroying the bunkers before shooting any of the men behind them almost always yields a shotmulitplier powerup. One can regularly have the maximum number of shot multipliers by the end of the first level by using this trick. Powerups seem to appear more frequently if you stay with your guns and do not pick up a missile powerup. Fire as often as you can when you are using the guns, and keep firing. Once you have maxed out your shot multiplier, it is good to start picking up missiles. Part of the trick to playing the game is to scroll the screen from side to side and to pick off the enemies that are placed on opposite sides to harrass you.PBy learning the pattern of when and where enemies appear, you can neutralize them before they can do you any harm. This is especially true with hitting the small helicopters as they come on screen, and nuking the screen just before the guided missile truck. It is best to use the screen nuke when your helicopter is positioned at the very EMbottomEM of the screen. Otherwise, it may only be partially effective.
