Race Drivin' | Atari Games | 1990 | Videogame | Racing |
On the Super Stunt Track, the amount of bonus time you gain on each lap is very close to the time it takes for a skilled driver to complete the course. If you drive hard and make no mistakes, you can actually gain about one second every time you go around the course, and play forever (or at least until you flub up).<P>The game does not end until your car comes to a complete stop, so if you run out of time near a gate, put the car into neutral -- you may be able to coast through and get the bonus time.<p>On the Super Stunt Track, there is a tunnel that goes underneath the mountain road as you near the finish line. Inside the tunnel are two vehicles that appear to have gotten into a wreck of some sort. They are unfortunatly blocking the road. In order to get around the cars, you need to perform a "corkscrew" type of stunt by driving over the two vehicles around the inside of the tunnel. This is the same kind of technique used on the barrel roll on the Super Stunt Track.

Rad Mobile | Sega | 1991 | Videogame | Racing |
The two-lane levels, such as the Rocky Mountains, are easier than they appear. Rather than trying to pass cars on the left and risk a head-on collision, pass them on the right. Apparently you drive a <EM>very</EM> narrow car as you will not ever crash into the mountain (or go off the road as long as you do not steer too far).<P>There are at least two endings to this game depending on what place you finish in and whether or not you used any short cuts. You can get the best ending by finishing in first place without using any shortcuts.

Rally Bike | Taito | 1988 | Videogame | Racing |
TRICK On the last section of the first level San Francisco, there is a jump that appears on the left when the surface changes. If you take this jump, you will end up on the bed of a farm truck. If you land without crashing, you will now be able to control the truck Hit up while accelerating and you will be able to blow past all the other bikers easily, which is useful for trying to make the cutoff rank. Also, if you move the truck to the extreme right, all the opposing bikes will come from in front of the truck and will be run over, allowing you to pass more easily. Note that you will not lose any gas while controlling the truck.PTRICK On Level 2 Los Angeles, there will be two tanker trucks that you will have to jump over AND out run. One is at the beginning, and one is in the middle of the level. You CAN bypass the second truck, however. Instead of taking the jump on the left, go to the right, and there will be a jump there. This can be a bit tricky with helpers, youll likely lose one if you take this jump. If you dont crash, youll land on a pier, away from the tanker. Bikes will appear on the pier, but can be easily dodged, or can be taken out if you still have a helper or two. A jump at the end of the pier will put you back on the main course. To ensure a safe landing, move the bike to the left while in the air.

Rampage | Bally Midway | 1986 | Videogame | Platform |
It seems that each monster has a particular person that they can hold on to: George holds a woman in the red dress, Lizzie holds the middle-aged man, and Ralph holds a business man. Holding these people will increase your score. To do this go up to the appropriate person with the appropriate monster and do as if you were to eat them. You will hold them in your hand until you hit punch again. Fair warning: holding too long will cause the person to punch you and you will lose control until the monster lets go of the person.

Robotron: 2084 | Williams Electronics, Inc. (1967-1985) | 1982 | Videogame | Shooter |
There is a bug in Robotron that can make the game crash when you shoot into the corners. This is said to be avoidable by turning the fancy attract mode of the game off.<P>In wave five, the first brain wave, a mistake in the brain's algorithm can help you gain a vast amount of points. There is one Mikey with lots of Mommies. However, the mistake in the algorithm causes the brains to seek out Mikey rather than the Mommies. Therefore, if you can keep the brains from getting to Mikey without picking him up yourself (at least until you rescue all the Mommies), you stand to gain a huge amount of points (up to 5,000 points for each Mommy).<P>During the tank wave, try to avoid shooting the tanks shots for as long as you can. If the tanks fire 20 shots that do not hit anything, the tanks will cease firing.<P>There is an easter egg hidden in the game with the games credits. To exploit this easter egg, you must execute the following commands during gameplay<OL><LI>Move the "move" joystick right and the "fire" joystick up and press the one player start button.<LI>Move the "move" joystick up and the "fire" joystick down and press the two player start button.<LI>Move the "move" joystick down and the "fire" joystick up.</OL><p>When the last sequence has been entered, the credits will be displayed until the "fire" joystick is moved from the up position. These sequences must be done within a quarter of a second of each other. You can hold a sequence as long as you like, but when you let it go, you must execute the next sequence within a quarter of a second.

Rygar | Tecmo | 1986 | Videogame | Scrolling Fighter |
With regard to the US ROM Sets, it appears that the 'rygar' set is a bug fix release for 'rygar2' ROMs. The original version was probably renamed to 'rygar2' when the new, fixed 'rygar' set was created.<P>The differences between these revisions are:<OL><LI>'rygar2' has a bug in the code which lets player two start a game when player one is already playing. You need to set a DIP switch to enable this behaviour it is usually on by default. If you press '2' while player one is playing a one-player game, 'rygar2' will check if you have one or more credits before it registers that you're now in a two-player game, but it won't deduct the credit.<LI>'rygar2' has some code that's not in 'rygar'. It seems to be blanking out seven characters on the screen. Maybe it's removing the word 'player 2' or 'player 1'.<LI>In 'rygar2', if player two starts while player one is already playing, it says 'player 2' instead of 'player 1' at the top right.<LI>The first screen of 'rygar2' says "ALL RIGHT RESERVED" which is missing the 'S' that is present in 'rygar'.</OL><P>On level 13 there is a hidden star that will award you 1000000 points!
