Castlevania The Arcade is a large arcade game based on the long running franchise of the same name. But instead of an action platformer like most previous Castlevania games, CT.A. is basically a first person 2 player shooter that uses an LED remote wand that you use like a whip to defeat enemies on the screen. The wands have 2 buttons, one for the whip and one to activate sub weapons like axes, and boomerangs. Players work together to defeat the forces of evil including stage bosses like Death, Dragons, a Minotaur, a Harpy, a Werewolf, Death again, and finally Dracula. Players choose between three playable characters including a Belmont style Vampire Hunter, a Lady Gunner, or a Little Witch. And like most of its home console prequels, the game is known as Akumajo Dracula in Japan which is officially translated as Devils Castle Dracula and concludes when you defeat Dracula. Along with Haunted Castle aka Akumajo Dracula, Castlevania The Arcade is the only other arcade game based on the Castlevania franchise.
