House Of The Dead, The DescriptionGo through a mansion filled with zombies, chainsaw-wielding undead and other creatures. You must destroy their evil creator, Dr. Curien, while saving scientists and your girlfriend.Cabinet InformationThis game is availible in two styles. The first is a regular upright cabinet with a 25inch monitor that has both guns attached to the cabinet. There is also a model with a 45inch rearprojection screen contains the system boards and speakers that has an attached gun holdingcoin mechinism about 1.5 feet back from the screen.Game IntroductionYour mission is to investigate the status of the mysteriously missing personnel at a genetic engineering center (The DBR Corporation) and of the first team of operatives sent to rescue them. You will also need to take defensive action and assist any survivors. During the mission, you will discover that the mad scientist Dr. Curien is the one resurecting the undead and you must stop him and his evil undead minions.Game PlayThe game is divided into four Chapters, each with its own end-boss: Armored Giant, Man-Bat, Giant Spider, and the "Magician." The game allows you to aim and destroy specific body parts. (i.e. you can blow off the arms of a chainsaw-wielding undead enemy), although blowing off their heads is the fastest way of killing them. You can also earn power-ups by saving scientists throughout the game, but if you shoot one, you will lose one of your own health levels.VAPS Arcade CensusThere are 6,993 members of the Video Arcade Preservation Society / Vintage Arcade Preservation Society, 4,022 whom participate in our arcade census project of games owned, wanted, or for sale.
