The first multi-player, multi-cabinet networked arcade racing game. Multiple cabinets can be connected to allow up to eight players to join in the same race.
The game play is similar to Pole Position. Possibly the hardest part of this game is getting used to the apparent loose steering which will cause you to spin out easily if you pay too much attention to the car on the screen. The car seems to skid sideways through turns which confuses novice players but a few laps racing against a friend should usually get you hooked.
Down shifting and brakes play major parts in keeping control of the car on the tight curves. Bumping another car will not cause you to explode as in other games of the time. You can bump another car and try to make it spin out; especially fun when playing head-to-head.
The upright game only has one pedal. Releasing it readily decelerates the vehicle.

In a multi-player game, the computer cars are less frequent and allow better lap times.
The game was released in both sitdown and upright style cabinets. Even though Namco appears on the screen, many cabinets also have Atari markings.
The sitdown cabinets have built in casters to allow easy transportation. The interiors are very neatly laid out, allowing for easy cleaning and maintainance.

Instead of one PCB, two individual game boards are used inside the cabinet and they share a common power feed. This allows two games to be played on the same cabinet without affecting the other player's game.
