Conversion

Alien Syndrome was sold in a dedicated cabinet by Sega, but was also sold as a conversion kit by Sun Corporation of America licensed by Sega. The following are the specifics for the conversion kit:

  • The marquee looks the same as the dedicated cabinet marquee, except that the word "SEGA" was replaced by "Licensed from SEGA", and "Sun Corporation of America" was added to the top. Additionally, the marquee is dated "C 1987 SEGA ENTERPRISES, INC USA".
  • The bezel is paper and says "Sun Corporation of America" across the top.
  • On the control panel, the overlay looks the same as the one used for Quartet 2, except that it is purple instead of red and the control panel stickers are the same purple as the overlay. The Shoot button stickers are gray and the buttons themselves are black. The Player 1 and Player 2 start buttons are white.
