The same artist who created the characters for Tapper created the characters for this game. The resemblences between the bartender and the lumberjacks are unmistakable. The music will also be familiar to those acquainted with Tapper.
This game is best experienced with two players. You can cooperate to get finished quick, or stiff your partner to clean up on points. (Example: Pushing a tree over on him just before he finishes cutting it down). You must finish in the specified length of time or the cigar smoking boss will blow the whistle and you will lose one life.
The round is finished after all the tress have been cut down and the player with the highest tree count gets a bonus; the other player gets slapped around or drilled into the ground by the brute boss. There is a bonus screen where the object is to stay balanced on a log spinning back and forth in the water. The surface you stand on gets smaller in the higher levels.

All dedicated machine housings were originally Tapper cabinets. If you peel away the lumberjack sideart you will find original Tapper sideart underneath (we are not advocating you try this, however!). A square Timber sticker was added just below the control panel. Some cabinets were originally Root Beer Tapper and others were the original "Budweiser" variety. You can tell which the style by examining the sides of the control panel area. If there is a rectangular black piece of wood on each side, as seen in the cabinet picture to the right, you have a the "Budweiser" version. If the pieces of wood are not there, the cabinet was a Root Beer Tapper.
This cabinet is nice looking and well done. The upper side has a large drawing of a lumber jack with an axe over his shoulder and a log cabin and trees in the background. From the control panel down (in front and on the sides) it looks like rough wood paneling. The control panel itself looks like a log.
