Game Introduction

This system lets you play arcade games at home on your TV. It is a great idea, but it does not compare to playing the games in an actual cabinet. For the casual user, though, it should be just fine.

Trivia

There are other similar units called the Otoko Attack System, Super Gun, and Multi System.

Cabinet Information

Other than the controllers, everything is in one unit.

Conversion

This system can be used with any JAMMA board or non-JAMMA boards with the use of a proper adapter.

Miscellaneous

The Super Nova is the successor to the Super Gun.

VAPS Arcade/Coin-Op Super Nova Census

There are 15,339 members of the Video Arcade Preservation Society / Vintage Arcade Preservation Society, 9,699 whom participate in our arcade census project of games owned, wanted, or for sale. Census data currently includes 167,290 machines (7,016 unique titles).

Scarce - There are 4 known instances of this machine owned by Super Nova collectors who are active members. Of these, 3 of them are original dedicated machines. One is a set of circuit boards which a collector could put into a generic case if desired.

Wanted - No active members have added this machine to their wish list.

This game ranks a 1 on a scale out of 100 (100 = most often seen, 1=least common) in popularity based on census ownership records.

Rarity and Popularity independently are not necessarily indications of value. [More Information]

Technical

There is a 10-pin female connector for buttons four through six.

Fixes

One annoying design flaw is that there is no volume control or on/off switch for the internal speaker so you will need to add your own. The joysticks are not all that great for fighting games.
