Arika, the games developer, was founded by Akira "Nin-Nin" Nishitani. Nishitani served as the original designer for Street Fighter 2 and it's updated rereleases as well as X-Men Children of the Atom.
The game uses the same system as IStreet Fighter EXI, IStreet Fighter EX PlusI, IStreet Fighter EX 2I and IRival Schools United By FateI. All games are interchangeable via daughterboards containing game data.
