The Western Electric Derby was a small coin operated player piano playing 54 notes. The Derby model featured horses that would start spinning with the drop of a nickel. The music would play and each time another nickel was inserted the horses would start up again. The horse with his nose nearest the finish post was the winner. These pianos were first manufactured in 1925 and are considered rare today.
