Description

The Super 40 Juke box was made in England, by Bal-Ami. The Bal was short for Balfour Engineering Co, Ltd Of Romford. Essex England. They made AMI Juke Box's under license. They also made the G-80, G-120 and Junior 40. All with the same shape of cabinet. These cabinets was a improvement on the Model E-80 that was made in the U.S.A. the E-80 had a roll down observation window that was very easy to open without a key, anybody could steal the records. Balfour improved the observation area and made the model G-80. The Super 40 was a proto-type cabinet for the soon to be produced I-200 with a new wrap around observation area. They also produced the Super 60 with the same cabinet. This Style of cabinet was to become very popular in Scandinavia.
