Description

Released only in Japan, Magical Speed is a variation of the card game Speed. The game was released in a dedicated VS cocktail cabinet. This simulates the playing of the game as you would in real life. There are identical control panels on either side, players compete facing each other. The control panel consists of buttons 1 4, which highlight the card you would like to play. A B correspond to the stack you would like to deposit the card. The cabinet features lights under the buttons that will show what cards are available to play and what stack to deposit. Note this is only to help if you find yourself getting lost. You cannot rely solely on the lights, if both stacks are lit, and more than 1 card is lit, it will not say which card goes to which stack. Also, looking down at the lights will slow you from performing combos by reading cards ahead.Single player mode starts with an option of easy, medium, or hard modes. Only the completion of hard mode will roll the ending and credits. Your character travels around a map battling numerous characters along the way. Gameplay wise jokers are wild, and performing combos rapidly chaining depositing cards will send over helper creatures to your opponents side. They will prevent a new card from being deposited in a slot. When they appear on the players side, the player must rapidly press the corresponding button to sweep them away.
