Description
It's thrilling to hear the lion roar and see its eyes light up when a champion breath holder blows into the tube. The second hand on the dial automatically indicates the length of time the contestant holds his breath. Although the most impressive of arcade machines, lung testers were banded and subsequently discarded around WWI as unhygienic. (Many mouths on the same hose helped spread tuberculosis and the common cold.) Because of this, lung testers are rare machines today. Made by Mills Novelty Co. in 1904.
