Red Earth Description

Red Earth was produced by Capcom in 1997.

Capcom released 228 different machines in our database under this trade name, starting in 1984.

Other machines made by Capcom during the time period Red Earth was produced include Capcom Sports Club, Street Fighter III - New Generation, Battle Circuit, Marvel Super Heroes Vs. Street Fighter, Pocket Fighter, Star Gladiator, Rockman 2: The Power Fighters, Quiz Nanairo Dreams: Nijiirochou No Kiseki, Dungeons Dragons: Shadow Over Mystara, and CP System III.

This 2-D fighter has four player-selectable characters, two modes of play (Quest and Vs.) and bonus rounds between levels. In Quest mode, players fight their way through the terrain to gain experience points. The Vs. mode features one-on-one combat similar to other fighting games.

Technical

This game's CP System III is roughly four times as powerful as the old CP System II board. The new hardware can handle 256 colours per sprite and with a total of 512 colour palettes, that means it can display up to 32,768 colours on-screen.
