Game Introduction

You play either Hikaru Ichijo (player 1) or Max Jenius (player 2) who must battle the Zentraeti forces in their VF-1S Strike Valkyries through six stages of mindless destruction.

Game Play

The game play is fairly similar to that of Raiden. Your Valkyrie fighter transforms into three modes (fighter, gerwalk, and battroid) by grabbing power-ups labled F, G, and B. Each mode has its own set of weapons.

Cheats, Tricks, Bugs, and Easter Eggs

If you win the game twice in a row, you'll get to see the ending animation. For some reason, you don't get to see it when you only win it once. Go figure.

The title of this game can also be translated as Super Dimensional Fortress Macross. The corresponding TV series based off the movie is called Robotech in its English translation.
