Space Invaders II Description

Space Invaders II was produced by Midway Manufacturing Co. in 1980.

Midway Manufacturing Co. released 132 different machines in our database under this trade name, starting in 1959.

Other machines made by Midway Manufacturing Co. during the time period Space Invaders II was produced include Li'l Hoop Shot!, Space Invaders Deluxe, Rally-X, Space Encounters, Space Zap, Phantom II, 4 Player Bowling Alley, Super Galaxians, Super Speed Race, and 18 Wheeler.

Like the classic original, this game requires the player to destroy advancing invader ships. This game has a competitive mode where two players fight to destroy each other in addition to the advancing attackers.

Cabinet Information

The game is housed in an early 1980's Midway cocktail cabinet (similar to Galaxian) with rounded corners and the smaller coin door. The glass top is black with arrows pointing to "Space Invaders 2" screened on each sides' left corner. The right corners contain the text "NEW two players play together".

Game Introduction

Fend off advancing invaders and be on guard for the CPU or the second player's ship sweeping the playfield from above. Players can destroy the opposing player and gain his ship.
