The game has six different levels that each have six different stages with unique challenges. The first three levels are The Circus Of Mystery, Alien Encounters and The Castle Of Horrors. The next two levels are Six-Gun Conjunction and Skull Cove. And the final level is The Ultimate Challenge.
In a two-player game, the player who uses the red gun must shoot all the red targets while the player using the blue gun has to shoot all the targets that are blue. Both players must also shoot others targets that are required throughout the game.
At the beginning of the game, each player must choose the level they want by shooting it. Next they must choose one of six stages and then shoot the targets that match their color or the targets they are told to shoot. Everytime they shoot the right targets, the mallet advances higher, but everytime they shoot the wrong targets, the mallet lowers. On each stage, you have ten seconds to shoot all the targets you are required to. If the mallet is too low, you will have to try again, but if the mallet strikes good enough, you will win and the stage will be completed. Players must shoot all the targets they need and win in order to complete the stage. After all six stages have been completed, the level is finished and you move on to the next.
The player must perform the following tasks on The Circus Of Mystery level:
