Description

A large spheroid known as the Eliminator floats randomly about the screen destroying everything it touches. Pilot a space ship around and avoid being hit by it, other players, or drones while fighting.

During the attract mode for Eliminator four-player, it mentions "Two-player game". This implies that the two-player upright model came first, and they forgot to change the attract mode between games. This was the only four-player vector game ever made.

Technical

Eliminator 4-player is actually different in hardware from it's two player counterpart in a few respects: 1 Different EPROM data, 2 External I/O board to handle additional inputs and 3 Different slapstick. The cocktail form also has different game EPROM data, but the slapstick and CPU EPROM are the same as the 2-player.

Fixes

As with all of Sega's vector games, the Electrohome color vector monitor used for this game has a notorious tendency to catch fire. It is unknown what to do to prevent this.
