Pleiades DescriptionIn this multi-wave space shooter, enemy ships come at you in scrolling waves. Growing bird-like ships swoop down at the player's ship as more enemy ships spring forth from the mothership. During the final wave, the player must navigate around parked ships to hit landing pad right on.Pleiades was produced by Centuri in 1981. Centuri released 14 different machines in our database under this trade name, starting in 1977. Other machines made by Centuri during the time period Pleiades was produced include Challenger, Pit, The, Route 16, Vanguard, Loco-Motion, Eagle, Killer Comet, Phoenix, and Battle Station. Cabinet Style Weights and Measures
Cheats, Tricks, Bugs, and Easter EggsBug When the final alien is killed on the very first wave, the game says that you be rewarded x amount of points, but this bonus is never added to your score.PCheat on the second round, shoot all but one alien. Then move the ship to the far left, wait for the alien to be in a firing line, then shoot. Its bullets will now go through you as long as you keep him in that position. You can quickly dart left and right, shooting it to death, racking up points very quickly. After about three minutes of this, the alien becomes highly annoyed and will hover right below you, and do all kind of neato moves. It is quite a sight to seeMiscellaneousLICENSOR TehkanVAPS Arcade/Coin-Op Pleiades CensusThere are 12,007 members of the Video Arcade Preservation Society / Vintage Arcade Preservation Society, 9,523 whom participate in our arcade census project of games owned, wanted, or for sale.
