Description

"The past and future have collided in a world gone mad ..." This is a comic-strip style beat-em-up, set on the east coast in 2513, that stars four characters: Jack Tenrec, Mess O'Bradovich, the lovely Diplomat and Explorer Hannah Dundee and Mustapha Cairo. They all drive around in their Cadillacs battling against the Black Marketeers and the odd dinosaurs.

Game Play

The game is played like another Capcom puncher, Final Fight. One object is to investigate the ruins of 20th Century New York, now buried under water after a massive earthquake. Another is to find out why so many dinosaurs are being captured, mangled, and used in strange genetic engineering projects.

The CP System I board uses a 68000 CPU while the audio circuitry uses a Z80 and YM-2151.

Fixes

This game uses two "suicide batteries". One is located on the C-board of the PCB and the other is located on the Q-Sound board. When either of these batteries die, the game will no longer operate. You will be greeted with a blank screen upon power-up, usually blue or green, sometimes black. A hack is possible to revive the game, even if both batteries are dead, involving burning two or more new EPROMs, using the c-board from a different CPS-1 game (one that doesn't have a suicide battery), replacing the custom Z80 with a standard Z80 and doing a bit of soldering.
