Description

The player's tank must obliterate multiple waves of enemy vehicles in mountain and city terrains. The game's top-down view rotates around tank which keeps the vehicle pointing in a forward direction. Jump on lift pads to rise above the landscape and drop devastating nukes.

Assault Plus was produced by Namco in 1988.

Cabinet Information

The game cabinet is very narrow in width, similar in style to that of IToobinI.

Conversion

The board can be swapped with IAssaultI. The boards are identicle and one may be converted to the other simply by swapping two ROMs. Replace IAssaultIs AT2MP0B and AT2MP1B with IAssault PlusI MPR0 and MPR1 respectivly to convert.

Miscellaneous

LICENSED Namco to Atari. The game was only released in Japan, but the screens are in English.PThis game used special hardware for bitmap scaling and rotations.PThis game fixes a few features left out of the original. It now supports twoplayer alternating play, cocktail cabinet installation and two skill levels of play.
